Volux started the way most honest companies do — out of frustration. Doom-scrolling instead of doing. The irony wasn't lost on us.
We'd spent years studying how digital environments hijack the brain's reward circuitry — and designing the exact engagement features built to keep you scrolling. We knew the problem intimately. We'd studied it, built it, lived it.
The market already had plenty of "focus tools" — but most were either gimmicks with slick branding, or overcomplicated systems with zero transparency. We wanted something different: products backed by real research, paired with tools and habits that actually address why we can't focus — not just the symptoms.
Today, Volux operates out of Sydney and is building a community of people who believe their time and attention deserve better than being auctioned off to the highest bidder.
